Big Sur and Monterey

The next morning, July 3rd, we headed north and stopped at the mission in San Luis Obispo before getting on the Coast Highway US 1 and heading north past San Simeon and onto Big Sur.  The road twists and turns and the views are spectacular.

These views continued for a couple of hours and we pulled over many times to enjoy the view.  Upon hitting Carmel we stopped for lunch and then continued a few miles on to Monterey, where we parked, got our bikes down and rode along a dedicated path through town and to the outskirts.  The sky was blue and the air was cool.

We left Monterey about 7pm to head to Marina for our second AirBnB.  I'm sure Cindy will tell you all about this one.  And remember, my wife never let's truth get in the way of a good story.
